Computer Classes Being Offered in Prineville.

Upcoming computer classes for those wanting to learn more about computers/computing.

The purpose of the classes is to teach the technology of computers without using "Computerese". The first class will be aimed at those who may be computer phobic, or don't understand how a computer works. Learn what operating systems are, what computer programs are, what the differences are, what USB ports are, etc... Learn how to protect yourself and your computer online.
From there the classes will move on into Internet searches, email, Facebook, Word, Excel, and other programs.

We are thinking Tuesday evenings for the classes, but would welcome input for time and day of week. We anticipate one class per month unless we get requests otherwise.

The classes will be held at the Prineville Branch of COCC on Lynn Blvd. Turn right at the light on Main Street then turn left on Lynn .6 miles south of 3rd Street which is the street that people on which travel through Prineville.

Cost will be free. We will be able to accommodate about 30 people per class.

Each attendee will have their own computer to utilize and practice with during the classes. Each person will be given a flash drive preloaded with the class curriculum as part of the first class.

People can also bring their own computer to use if it is a portable.
