THURSDAY NOVEMBER 15 MEETING FEATURES AUTHOR GINGER DEHLINGER
Bend author Ginger Dehlinger will speak at Central Oregon Writers Guild’s Thursday November 15 meeting on what she has learned about the world of self-publishing, a presentation she calls, “I Did It My Way.”

Ginger self-published her first novel, Brute Heart, in 2010. A Native Oregonian, Ginger is a University of Oregon graduate with a BA in History. She writes poetry, essays and short stories set in the American West. She serves on The Nature of Words Advisory Committee and is a member of the Central Oregon Writers Guild. Her nature essay, “Last Ride,” won first place in the 2011 Nature of Words Rising Star competition, and her poem, “A Bar Stool’s Lament” received a Writer’s Digest honorable mention. Her essay “Fallen Idols” was among the winners in the 2012 Literary Harvest Writing Contest. She lives in Bend with her husband, Dick, and two cats named Kiki and Cali. 

 

Central Oregon Writers Guild meets at Central Oregon Community College Redmond Campus, 2030 SE College Loop, Building 3, 6:30-9:00 p.m., Thursday, November 15, 2012. The meeting is free and open to the public.
