2008 Pitch Perfect Contest (electronic contest)
Sponsored by the Mid-Willamette Valley RWA

The purpose of the Pitch Perfect Contest is to help polish your pitching package by judging a long synopsis, short synopsis and query letter. Synopses aren't the more interesting and entertaining part of the writing process, but they are necessary. With more and more agents and editors requesting these, it's crucial to be able to write them well. This contest is a wonderful way to get feedback on your synopsis and have the opportunity to get it in front of and agent or editor.

Not to mention the grand prize is FREE REGISTRATION TO RWA NATIONAL 2009 in Washington D.C.!

Eligibility
This contest is open to all members of the Romance Writers of America®, to both unpublished and published members. Published members cannot submit a query letter or synopsis used for a published book or a manuscript that has been sold to an RWA-recognized publisher. This contest only accepts entries on unpublished and unsold manuscripts.

MWV RWA reserves the right to limit the number of entries based on judge availability. If the contest reaches capacity, it will be announced on the contest Web site and any entries that come in after closure will be returned.

Entry Fees & Submissions
The entry fee is $20, or $15 for MWV RWA chapter members. You do not have to be a member of RWA to enter. To enter, you must send a one-page query letter, short synopsis (1-3 pages) and long synopsis (4-10 pages).

Entry Deadline
