REMINDER: Central Oregon Writers Guild Thursday, January 22 meeting, 6:30 - 9:00 p.m., Redmond Library, 827 SW Deschutes.
COWG will begin its seventh year with its regular monthly meeting on January 22, 2009 . This will be a planning meeting to consider COWG’s by-laws, policies, procedures and goals. All members and interested persons are encouraged to attend, share their ideas and suggestions and join the discussion regarding the group’s future direction. COWG’s mission is to support, encourage and assist writers of all genres throughout the Central Oregon community. Several committees offer the opportunity for members to participate in the group’s activities and help carry out the COWG mission. Members’ and non-members’ feedback is welcome during the January meeting, an important session that will help determine COWG’s future direction. A sign-up sheet will be circulated with a list of committees and duties, to give attendees the chance to learn more about COWG and become involved in our group's activities.
Annual dues are $20 for new members, $18 for renewals, and can be paid at the meeting. As this is an organizational meeting, there will be no critique session, but refreshments will be served! The meeting is free and open to the public. We look forward to seeing you Thursday!
