Central Oregon Writers Guild Thursday February 26, 2009 meeting topic is “Promotion 101—The Nuts and Bolts of Promoting You and Your Writing”, presented by local author Paty Jager.
Redmond, Oregon, January 26, 2009—Central Oregon Writers Guild’s February 26, 2009 meeting features local author Paty Jager, who will speak on the topic “Promotion 101—The Nuts and Bolts of Promoting You and Your Writing.” Paty will talk about the ways writers can use the internet to promote their work, as well as tips on setting up book signings. Paty says, “Promoting one’s writing is time consuming, but if writers want people to know about their work, it has to be promoted. The good news for writers these days is the access to the whole world via the internet.” Paty’s presentation will focus on the tools available to writers, and the best ways to promote their writing.
Paty Jager is an award winning local author of four books, with a fifth book to be released in June 2009. Her contemporary western, Perfectly Good Nanny, won the 2008 Best Contemporary Romance EPPIE and recently her historical western, Outlaw in Petticoats, is in contention for the Best Western Romance at Love Western Romances. She has been a member of Romance Writers of America for ten years, and is a member of EPIC (Electronic Publishing Industry Coalition), Willamette Writers and Central Oregon Writers Guild. She is a Senior Editor with the Wild Rose Press.
Following her program, Paty will conduct a craft exercise designed to help participants improve their writing skills. There will be no critique session at the meeting.
